Founder
The founder of Jnana Prabodhini, Late Shri Vinayak Vishwanath alias Appa Pendse was an Educationist, Social organizer, Patriot and an Active ideologue. In 1962, he envisioned an organization for putting into practice the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda – his inspiration – of changing the face of the Nation, through Man-making Education.

The Educational Resource Centre has supported grassroots learning for over 15+ years. With globalization and technology, the Movement of Open Online Learning (MOOL) brings education to learners across ages, geographies, and backgrounds.
Our core domain is Educational Technology (EdTech)—using technology to make learning more accessible, engaging, experiential, and scalable. We design educational videos, e-games, virtual and immersive applications, educational apps, and digital learning resources, and conduct content creation and digital capacity-building workshops.
Our work aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Jnana Prabodhini’s Triveni Education approach, integrating ज्ञान (Knowledge), कौशल्य (Skills) through innovative educational technology solutions.

Vigyan Ashram, Pabal
Vigyan Ashram is a school for the study of ancient Indian philosophy belonging to the Indian Institute of Education (IIE), Pune, established by S. S. Kalbag in 1983. It emulates the modern version of the old Gurukul system of “simple living and high thinking”.
